International Polysaccharide Engineering Inc. (IPE) was founded in 2003 as a university spin-off from Osaka Prefecture University, which became Osaka Metropolitan University in 2022 following its merger with Osaka City University.
Our business began with a simple vision: to make proprietary polysaccharide technologies cultivated through university research more widely useful to society.
Today, IPE develops reference-standard reagents and works closely with corporate partners to promote collaborative R&D that goes beyond conventional contract analysis.
By connecting scientific expertise with practical needs, we have contributed to the creation of new value through joint patent applications, academic publications, and other research outcomes. Our expertise now extends beyond polysaccharide science and technology into food science, including quality preservation of starch-based foods and aroma analysis related to taste and palatability.
